First lady Melania Trump released a public service announcement Tuesday to promote hurricane relief programs.
“The president and I have witnessed firsthand the compassion and commitment of Americans as friends, neighbors, and strangers continue to volunteer time and money to help one another following the recent hurricanes. Your help is still needed,” Trump says, calling on Americans to donate to an organization “of your choice.”
The White House expects recovery efforts in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands to last for months, possibly years, after Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.
