Customers in a restaurant were seen chanting “get out” at a pair of health inspectors who visited the establishment over coronavirus concerns.
“Get out, get out, get out,” patrons of Corduroy, a restaurant in Vancouver, Canada, chanted at two health inspectors.
The incident unfolded last Friday, reportedly after people in the area filed complaints that Corduroy was not following provincewide lockdown orders that prohibit dining inside restaurants.
Absolutely spectacular.

The video also shows restaurant owner Rebecca Matthews speaking with the health inspectors and telling them they are trespassing.
“Who do you work for?” Matthews, who is holding a young child, asks the health inspectors.
“You see the signs on the door there,” she continues, referring to a sign that reads, “NO TRESPASS.” “You understand what you’re doing here? You’re trespassing on my private property.”
“You don’t agree. OK,” she says after one health inspector says he doesn’t agree they are trespassing.
The crowd then broke out into chants that the inspectors leave, which was followed by applause and cheering as the pair exited the restaurant.
“Just trying to make a living … here in Vancouver,” one person says. “And it’s just insane what’s happening here.”
Corduroy has since been ordered to close, but its Instagram account said the restaurant plans to continue operating.
Last night we suspended the business licenses for both Gusto’s and Corduroy Lounge until April 20, 2021. Both businesses must remain closed during the suspension period. This suspension followed Closure Orders from Vancouver Coastal Health for failing to comply with PHO orders.

“What a roller coaster the last two days… we appreciate all the support,” read a caption of a picture posted Sunday.
“We have sold out of food and decided to close tonight and tomorrow to celebrate Easter with our little fam,” it continued. “Back open Tuesday at 4pm!”
The incident followed a viral video of a Canadian minister demanding that police officers leave his church after trying to disrupt Holy Week services.

“Nazis are not welcome here! … Do not come back, you Nazi psychopaths. Unbelievable, sick, evil people. Intimidating people in a church during the Passover! You Gestapo, Nazi, communist fascists! Don’t you dare come back here!” Artur Pawlowski, the pastor, shouted at officers in Canada who entered his church.
This is how you handle police who enter a church without a warrant. They’re lucky they only got a tongue-lashing: s. 176 of the Criminal Code makes it a crime to disturb a church service. Those @CalgaryPolice thugs were breaking the law (and knew it). pic.twitter.com/0XhAuwv0yg

“Unbelievable. We’re living in a total takeover of the government, with their thugs, goons, the brownshirts, the Gestapo wannabe dictators,” Pawlowski said. “Coming to the church armed with guns and Tasers and handcuffs to intimidate during Passover celebration? Well, I guess that’s what it is. They want to enslave us all like the Egyptians did. They want to be the pharaohs of today. That’s what they’re doing. Unbelievable. People, if you don’t stand up, wake up, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow.”
