Why Michael Flynn is furious about the debate

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was baffled by NBC moderator Lester Holt’s questions for the presidential nominees during Monday night’s debate.

The Donald Trump surrogate railed over Holt’s focus on birtherism and the lack of attention paid to Hillary Clinton’s role in the Benghazi attacks, during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday evening.

“Let’s get down to the brass tacks, Sean. The birther issue was raised and Benghazi was not? The birther issue didn’t result in four dead Americans. So for that not to have come up is unbelievable,” said Flynn, Trump’s top official Defense adviser.

During the debate, Trump was asked about his stance on where President Obama was born, which he recently admitted was Hawaii, not Kenya. Clinton was not questioned at all on her role as then-secretary of State during the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, or other issues that have caused her strife in recent months on the campaign trail.
