A group of alumni from Georgetown Preparatory School, the elite high school in Maryland attended by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, are urging classmates assist the FBI with its investigation into sexual misconduct accusations against the judge.
“If you know anything surrounding the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, now is the time to come forward,” the letter states. “Whether it is knowledge of specific events in these allegations, or just background to those events, please do not remain silent, even if speaking out comes at some personal cost.”

The letter was first circulated Saturday by Fikri Yucel and Bill Barbot, Class of 1986, on behalf of fellow graduates “standing in support” of Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. The note evokes the school’s mission of service as a motivating reason for alumni to aide the supplemental FBI probe, which was approved by President Trump after some GOP senators called for it before moving on Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the country’s highest court.
“Principles of ethics, virtue, and justice constitute the foundation of a Prep education,” the letter continues. “These principles are but empty words unless we act on them.”
Ford claims Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in the 1980s at a high school party when she was 15 and the judge was 17. The drinking culture of Georgetown Prep has been scrutinized since Ford went public with her allegation.
Kavanaugh denies all the sexual misconduct allegations he faces from Ford and two other named accusers, including Julie Swetnick, who claimed last week she was gang-raped at a party where Kavanaugh was present.
