HBO announced on Tuesday that it is renewing Emmy-nominated “Boardwalk Empire” for a fourth season. The show, currently in its third season, stars Steve Buscemi and is about Atlantic City during the time of Prohibition. “Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese and the rest of their outstanding team continue to produce a stunning show thatnever fails to surprise and entertain,” said Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming.. “We are excited to bring this unique series back for a fourth season.”
