A Republican running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Oklahoma said he would “use” his Second Amendment if anyone treated his daughter the way President Trump treats women.
Danny Stockstill, a Republican running for the vacant seat in Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District, admitted that, while he approves of Trump’s job in office, he doesn’t want him to be a role model for his children.
“So why are we so afraid to say, ‘There’s no way I want my son to act like [Trump]?'” Stockstill said during a Tuesday night forum, according to the Tulsa World. “If my daughter ever dates a man who treated her like he treats women, I’m going to use my Second Amendment.”

He continued by offering the same tough treatment for his son, who he said he will “come down on” him if he treated women like Trump, referencing allegations of Trump’s extramarital affairs.
“If we can’t stand up and say out loud, ‘I disagree with President Trump in the way he treats people,’ shame on us,” he said.
Stockhill’s remarks came in response to a question from the moderator on whether or not he sees the president as a role model for his children.
“I despise the fact he thinks it’s OK to have an affair with a porn star, pay her off, and pretend like it doesn’t matter,” he continued. “It’s one thing to say we don’t have one man and one woman anymore, but for us to say it’s OK to have one man and five women is a disgrace.”

He continued: “We’ve got to separate. He is not a role model. Is he a good president so far? I think he’s doing a pretty good job. Is he a role model for my kids? Not as long as I’m alive.”
Stockhill is running to fill the vacant seat that was once held by now-NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine.
