Trump thinks he’ll appoint 4 Supreme Court justices in his first term

President Trump believes he’ll appoint four justices during his time in office, including Justice Neil Gorsuch who is already sitting on the bench.

Axios reported Sunday night Trump believes Justices Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Sonia Sotomayor will all retire during his first term in office.

Trump reportedly told a source he believes Kennedy will be the next to retire.

“OK,” the report quoted one source as telling Trump, “so that’s two. Who are the others?”

“Ginsburg,” Trump said. “What does she weigh? 60 pounds?”

“Who’s the fourth?” the source asked.

“Sotomayor,” Trump said.

“Her health,” Trump added. “No good. Diabetes.”

While Ginsburg and Kennedy are often mentioned as possible candidates for retirement, Sotomayor is rarely included in the discussion.

Sotomayor is an appointee from President Obama’s administration and began serving on the bench in 2009.
