CPAC breaks into ‘we love you’ chant as Trump says the GOP respects ‘our great American flag’

Attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference chanted “we love you” as former President Donald Trump spoke on Sunday.

“We take great pride in our country,” Trump said. “We teach the truth about history. We celebrate our rich heritage and national traditions.”

“We honor George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and all national heroes. And, of course, we respect our great American flag,” he continued.

The crowd then chanted, “We love you.”

“Thank you very much,” Trump said in response. “That’s so nice.”

During the speech, the crowd also erupted with applause when Trump floated a possible third run in 2024.

“Actually, as you know, they just lost the White House, but it’s one of those things,” he said. “But who knows? Who knows? I may even decide to beat them for a third time, OK?”
