Move over, Oscar, here comes Jackson!
Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron has adopted a baby boy, the Associated Press reports.
The “North Country” star’s rep released a statement to the AP saying Charlize is a “proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson.”
According to an Us Weekly source close to the never-married star, 36, little Jackson was born in the United States, and is African-American.
“She has always wanted to be a mom,” the source said. “She is glad to be able to do it on her own now.”
This is the first child for the South African actress.
Grazing incident
Lindsay Lohan is having a bit of car trouble. Again.
The “Mean Girls” star grazed the knee of a Hollywood club manager with her Porsche outside his establishment early Wednesday morning, police tell the AP.
She also lightly struck another vehicle and drove off.
The 25-year-old was attempting a three-point turn and space was tight, Los Angeles police Sgt. Mark Ro said.
Police say a report wasn’t filed because no one was injured.
However, according to TMZ, the club manager later went to the emergency room after complaining that he was, in fact, injured, and he has subsequently hired an attorney and plans to press charges.
Lindsay knows her way around a courtroom, but let’s hope this incident doesn’t make it that far.
The truth is out there
Former “X-Files” star Gillian Anderson isn’t coming out, but she’s talking about her past relationships with women.
The actress tells Out magazine that she has dated women before, including one in high school, but that she isn’t gay.
Gillian says on some level, she knew she always liked boys and that’s why it was never made into a big deal.
She is currently in a relationship with Mark Griffiths, with whom she has two young sons, and was previously married twice.
