Since March 2007, Operation Welcome Home volunteers have greeted more than 100 flights and welcomed home more than 25,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The organization’s stock of supplies has been significantly depleted due to additional flights added to the airport this month, and it are asking for volunteers to bring contributions for the soldier’s goodie bags. Contributions could be bottled water or prepackaged cookies, chips, crackers, candy or granola bars.
