Trump names Brock Long as FEMA director

President Trump on Friday announced that he would appoint Brock Long as the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

FEMA falls under the Department of Homeland Security.

In a release, the White House said Long “has more than 16 years of experience assisting and supporting local, state, and federal governments with building robust emergency management and public health preparedness programs.”

Long previously served as director of Alabama’s Emergency Management Agency under former Gov. Bob Riley.

Trump also named Thomas DiNanno as assistant administrator of FEMA.
