Iowa charter schools bill prepared for governor’s action
In several ways, charter schools are more accountable to their students than traditional public schools. 

Gov. Kim Reynolds may soon sign a bill granting additional freedoms for charter schools in Iowa.

The Iowa Senate signed the bill, HF813, in a 30-18 vote on April 28. The Iowa House passed it in a 55-40 vote along party lines in March.
