Trump gets mixed welcome in Palm Beach: ‘Cubans for Trump,’ ‘Embarrassment to our country’

Upon arriving at his home-away-from-home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach for the first time since being sworn in, President Trump was greeted by both supporters and protesters outside the airport.

Some greeters were happy to see the commander in chief, touting signs that said “Cubans for Trump” and “welcome home,” according to a pool report. Others did not hide their opposition. One protester was seen holding a sign reading “embarrassment to our country.”

Trump arrived at his resort shortly before 5 p.m. local time. He met first lady Melania at the airport, who had come from Manhattan. The two crossed a rope line to greet excited members in the crowd.
