President Donald Trump mockingly claimed that the Dow is dropping dramatically as a result of Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton exiting the presidential race.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped over 500 points on Friday after the president “ordered” U.S. companies to find suppliers outside of China. It plummeted more than 350 points in the minutes following the tweet.
Trump demanded, “American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA.”
“The Dow is down 573 points perhaps on the news that Representative Seth Moulton, whoever that may be, has dropped out of the 2020 Presidential Race!” he followed up in another tweet Friday afternoon.

Moulton, who was never able to gain traction in the crowded Democratic field, announced he was ending his presidential bid earlier in the day.
