Footage released Tuesday showed a car being dragged beneath a semitrailer on a highway outside Chicago.

The car’s driver could be seen waving his or her hand out the driver’s side window as the vehicle was dragged sideways, with the driver’s head inches from the moving truck, according to dashcam footage taken by Grzegorz Buczynski, a resident in the area.
