Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., said she intends to make a decision a 2020 run for the White House over the holidays.
Harris told MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski at the Know Your Value conference Saturday that whether she runs for president in 2020 will “be a family decision.”
“And over the holiday, I will make that decision with my family,” she said, according to Politico.
The California senator is one of several Democrats eyeing a challenge to President Trump in 2020.
Other possible candidates include Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Cory Booker of New Jersey, and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota. Former Vice President Joe Biden has also garnered speculation as to whether he would make a bid for the White House.
Harris was elected to the Senate in 2016. Before that she served as California’s attorney general.
A Politico/Morning Consult poll released last month ranked Harris fifth in the 2020 Democratic field behind Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, and Warren.
