Twitter users who long for the days when President Barack Obama was in the White House shared their favorite memories of him on Twitter this week, prompting #BringBackObama to trend nationally on social media.
On Tuesday, Michael Skolnik, president of Russell Simmons’ GlobalGrind.com, wrote on Twitter, “I really miss Barack Obama as our President.” Skolnik asked his followers to share their favorite photos of the former Democratic commander in chief with the hashtag.
By Wednesday morning, the photographic memories from Obama’s two terms were saturating Twitter.
The calls for Obama to return to the Oval Office come in the midst of a new crisis for the Trump administration. Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., released emails Tuesday that show he excitedly accepted a meeting with a Russian lawyer associated with the Kremlin who promised to reveal damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
