WATCH LIVE: Jackson faces questions on Day Two of Supreme Court confirmation hearings

Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson will face questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee on the second day of her confirmation hearings.

Several Democrats on the committee praised Jackson’s appointment to the high court on Monday during their introductory statements, while Republicans have previewed their concerns over Jackson’s record and plan to investigate her judicial philosophy and her prior experience as a public defender and her service as a former member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission.

“I decide cases from neutral posture,” Jackson told committee members on Monday in response to any insinuation of political bias. “I evaluate the facts, and I interpret and apply the law to the facts of the case before me without fear or favor, consistent with my judicial oath.”
