Joe Biden addressed Sen. Cory Booker as “president” before he corrected himself and called the New Jersey Democrat the “future president.”
“Fact is that the president, excuse me the future president here. That, that the senator is talking about,” the former vice president, 76, said as he touched the arm of Booker, 50.
The Democratic front-runner made the comment during a back-and-forth between the two candidates on Biden’s past votes on crime bills.
Booker then called for “marijuana justice” and said it should not be up to Biden to fix what he had created by passing flawed crime bills.
