Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump may square off on the debate stage before next month’s California primaries, even though Sanders isn’t expected to be the Democratic nominee.
Trump told late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel he would be willing to debate Sanders before the primary since Hillary Clinton would not, so long as the proceeds go to charity.
Sanders accepted the debate challenge on Twitter and said, “Game on.”
Game on. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7 primary.

Clinton has avoided debating Sanders as she’s turned toward a potential general election fight with Trump. Before Trump dispatched all of his GOP primary opponents he similarly avoided debating his rivals in their primary.
