CNN anchor Brian Stelter sent out a newsletter Friday that left out the recent update on documents from a laptop Hunter Biden abandoned.
Stelter did include a plug for Meghan Markle’s new podcast on Spotify, however.
“Brian Stelter’s newsletter ignored The NY Times Hunter Biden laptop story, which is odd as he ran segments about it being right wing disinformation,” podcaster Stephen L. Miller said.

The original story, now verified by the New York Times, was reported by the New York Post six months ago, but Twitter moved to flag the story, suspend the New York Post’s account, and ban users from sending the article to each other.
Punchbowl News founder Jake Sherman even had his account locked over a tweet including the link.
I tweeted a link to the NYP story right after it dropped yesterday morning. I immediately reached out to the Biden campaign to see if they had any answer. I wish i had given the story a closer read before tweeting it. @twitter suspended me pic.twitter.com/Lk3c2Vd7d2

Today tweets including the New York Times link go unbanned, and users are free to share the link. A Twitter spokesperson did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.

Meanwhile, tweets from around the time that the story broke, falsely calling the story “disinformation” remain on the platform. A notable tweet comes from White House press secretary Jen Psaki.
