Baltimore County police today shot and killed a 26-year-old man who allegedly pointed a rifle out of a window in a Dundalk house.
The incident began around 4 p.m. in the 8000 block of Gough Road, when a woman called police because her boyfriend has become enraged and was destroying furniture in her home, said Baltimore County police spokesman Bill Toohey.
Two officers responded to the scene, and the 26-year-old boyfriend ran to an upstairs bedroom with a rifle, saying he was going to “shoot and kill anyone who came up,” Toohey said.
The cops called for backup, and while two officers were positioned behind the house, the man stuck a rifle out of an upstairs window in the direction of the officers, according to Toohey.
The officers fired at the man, striking and killing him at 5:12 p.m., Toohey said,
Police have not yet released the man’s name.
