Report: Apple’s labor practices in China fall short

Workers at Chinese contractors for Apple work more than 60 hours a week and make less than $2 an hour, according to an investigative report into Apple’s labor practices.

An analysis of 1,200 pay stubs collected by investigative group China Labor Watch at a Shanghai factory for Apple supplier Pegatron in October showed that more than 70 percent of the workers whose stubs were collected worked more than 60 hours a week, the cap that Apple puts on its suppliers.
