President Trump tweeted Friday morning that the border wall is needed to stop MS-13 gang members from El Salvador from re-entering the U.S. after being deported.
“MS-13 gang members are being removed by our Great ICE and Border Patrol Agents by the thousands, but these killers come back in from El Salvador, and through Mexico, like water,” Trump posted to Twitter Friday. “El Salvador just takes our money, and Mexico must help MORE with this problem. We need The Wall!”

In a Thursday meeting, Trump threatened to pull ICE officers and border patrol agents out of California so the state would become aware of how much worse the illegal immigration and gang problem would be without these immigration officials.
“I mean frankly, if I wanted to pull our people from California, you would have a crime mess like you’ve never seen in California,” Trump said. “All I’d have to do is to say, ‘ICE and Border Patrol, let California alone.’ You’d be inundated, you would see crime like no one’s ever seen crime in this country.”
Trump predicted that if he were to go through with pulling immigration agents from California, the government would be “begging” for ICE to come back after two months.
“Frankly, it’s a disgrace, the sanctuary city situation, the protection of these horrible criminals,” Trump said. “If we ever pulled our ICE out, if we ever said, ‘Hey, let California alone, let them figure it out for themselves,’ in two months they’d be begging for us to come back, they would be begging. And you know what, I’m thinking about doing it.”
