A guest on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show accused Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan of having “grotesque Holocaust envy.”
“What you are seeing is a full-blown Islamist propaganda,” Qanta Ahmed said Monday. “These are professional victim-mongering women who unfortunately have been elected to Congress but are using every tool in the playbook of the Muslim Brotherhood of Islamists. First, they demonize the Jewish people. Second they eradicate the Jewish nation.”
Ahmed, who herself is Muslim, said the freshman congresswomen are envious of Jewish victimization because of the Holocaust.
“They have a grotesque Holocaust envy. Just hear me out on that. Islamists envy what they see as the special mark upon the Jewish people that is the membership of genocide. It’s a terrible thing that befell the Jewish people, but Islamists envy it. They want to take over it and appear the most persecuted, the most victimized, the most disadvantaged — while they deny the Holocaust, while they deny the existence of Israel.”
Ahmed’s comments come after Omar and Tlaib held a press conference Monday in which they railed against President Trump and Israel over their ban from Israel for their support of the boycott, divest, and sanctions movement.
The Israeli government said they had banned the congresswomen after they obtained a copy of their itinerary, which listed their Israel trip as a visit to Palestine, along with funding for the trip being provided by the organization Miftah, which has published articles from Neo-Nazis and whose founder praised suicide bombers.
