Caitlyn Jenner will attend Trump’s inauguration

Caitlyn Jenner will join hundreds of thousands of Americans who are headed to Washington later this week to attend the inauguration of President-elect Trump.

The Olympic athlete-turned-reality TV star is a lifelong Republican and plans to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the next commander in chief on Friday, Jenner’s agent confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

Jenner sees the inauguration as “a chance to bring attention to LGBTQ causes,” a source close to her told People Magazine on Wednesday.

“She is committed to protecting human rights no matter the political party in power,” the source said, adding that Jenner “has no problem speaking out if Republicans fail to protect equal rights.”

Jenner in March said she planned to vote for whoever became the GOP nominee for president, after supporting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz during the Republican primary.

She later added that she would “never, ever, ever vote for Hillary [Clinton]” because “the country is over” if the Democratic presidential hopeful had won.
