Pamela Anderson is first to visit Julian Assange in London prison

Anderson attended the prison Tuesday wrapped in a “free speech” blanket and accompanied by WikiLeaks editor Kristinn Hrafnsson.

“He does not deserve to be in a super max prison. He has never committed a violent act, he’s an innocent person,” Anderson told reporters outside of the prison.

“He’s a good man, he’s an incredible person, I love him and I can’t imagine what he’s been going through,” Anderson added.

Later on Twitter, Anderson posted a handwritten note with the caption: “Julian Assange is the world’s most innocent man.”

“It is for me shocking to see my friend, an intellectual, a publisher, a journalist. A man who has transformed the world of journalism with his work sitting in a high-security prison,” Hrafnsson told reporters.

“Someone said that you could judge the civilization of a society by visiting its prisons and frankly I have to say from my heart that this visit did not reflect well on this society here,” he said.

Assange was arrested in early April after being evicted from the Ecuadorian London Embassy for reportedly being a bad houseguest.

The U.S. is working to get him deported to America so he can stand trial for attempting to hack into Pentagon computers with the help of Chelsea Manning.

Anderson has been a longtime friend of Assange visiting him on occasion while he was holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy.
