President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to take a shot at the conservative House Freedom Caucus after the Republicans’ healthcare bill failed Friday.
“Democrats are smiling in D.C. that the Freedom Caucus, with the help of Club For Growth and Heritage, have saved Planned Parenthood & Ocare!” he tweeted.

The American Health Care Act was pulled by House leadership Friday because of insufficient support. The conservative House Freedom Caucus played a key role in sinking the legislation, with most of its members saying it didn’t go far enough to dismantle Obamacare.
Persistent efforts by Trump and other top administration officials to convince Freedom Caucus members to support the GOP bill failed with all but a handful of caucus members, forcing House Speaker Ryan to pull the bill.
The group’s leader, Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said in a statement Friday that he promised his constituents “a full repeal” of Obamacare.
