Michael Avenatti, lawyer to porn star Stormy Daniels, called Rudy Giuliani’s Wednesday comments about his client “disgusting” and labeled President Trump’s personal attorney an “absolute pig.”
“Mr. Giuliani is an absolute pig for making those comments,” Avenatti told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Wednesday night. “He’s basically stating that women who engage in the adult film industry or other forms of pornography don’t have reputations, they’re not entitled to respect.”
“I certainly don’t hope we’ve reached a place where Rudy Giuliani is the police that’s going to decide which women deserve respect or not,” he continued. “His comments were piggish, they’re outrageous in today’s day and age.”
“He should be fired immediately, and if the president doesn’t fire him as his personal attorney and condones this behavior, I think it’s disgusting and an outrage.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Giuliani accused Daniels of lacking credibility due to her profession.
“The business you were in entitles you to no degree of giving you no degree of credibility,” he said during a public appearance. “Explain to me how she could be damaged? She has no reputation. If you’re going to sell your body for money, you don’t have a reputation. Maybe I’m old fashioned.”
