Israel to brief DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on border security next week

The Department of Homeland Security announced Friday that Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen will be traveling next week to Jerusalem, where she will receive a briefing on Israel’s border infrastructure technology and security.

DHS said Nielsen would meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan.

Nielsen will be participating in the International Homeland Security Forum where she will deliver a keynote speech.

Seventeen different countries will participate in the forum, which will focus on counterterrorism and how the U.S, Israel, and other international allies and partners can combat threats.
