Trump tweets defense of ‘brave heroes of ICE and border patrol’ from Democrats and MS-13

President Trump tweeted a new offensive against Democratic congressional candidates following his Thursday rally in Montana.

During the rally, the president tied Democrats to MS-13 gang members and other illegal immigrant criminals, and he picked up that line aboard Air Force One Thursday night.

“A vote for Democrats in November is a vote to let MS-13 run wild in our communities, to let drugs pour into our cities, and to take jobs and benefits away from hardworking Americans. Democrats want anarchy, amnesty and chaos,” he tweeted, adding that, “Republicans want LAW, ORDER and JUSTICE!”

POTUS further thanked the “brave men and women of ICE,” whom he claimed spend “every day… liberating communities from savage gangs like MS-13.”

“We will NOT stand for these vile Democrat smears in law enforcement. We will always stand proudly with the BRAVE HEROES of ICE and BORDER PATROL!”

Trump claimed during his Thursday rally that any vote for incumbent Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., was a “vote for Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the new leader of the Democratic party, Maxine Waters.”

While supporting Republican candidates on the campaign trail, Trump has repeatedly attempted to tie Democratic candidates to leadership — and Pelosi in particular. He has argued they will vote against his administration’s agenda and in favor of lax immigration policies, which the president claims benefit the violent Salvadoran gang.
