$46 million: Amount of money brought in at the box office over the weekend by “Ice Age: Continental Drift,” making it the No. 1 movie in America. The family-friendly film knocked “The Amazing Spider-Man” out of the top spot. The superhero flicked tallied $35 million. Rounding out the top five are “Ted,” “Brave” and “Magic Mike.” Compared to the same weekend a year ago — when the finally of the Harry Potter movies was released — box office numbers were down about 38 percent.
