CNN will no longer invite Donald Trump backer and former aide Roger Stone on its network, per a report.
According to Media Matters, CNN said in a statement that Stone “will no longer appear on CNN,” subsequent to a recent series of Twitter broadsides against the network’s on-air talent and a post published by Gawker on Monday that detailed Stone’s history of attacking CNN personalities.
In recent days, Stone has called Republican commentator Ana Navarro an “entitled diva b****” and “dumber than dog****”. (Trump is no fan of Navarro, himself, having said she has “no talent” and “no TV persona.”)
A few years ago, Stone targeted another CNN personality, Roland Martin, and has reportedly made other vulgar comments about women and minorities.
Stone hadn’t publicly responded to the news of the network’s ban as of Tuesday afternoon. But he had called a commentator on a different cable channel “a hater who still doesn’t know his a** from his elbow.”
