'He gave us no choice': Pelosi launches Trump impeachment debate

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opened a six-hour debate on articles to impeach President Trump by declaring illegal actions forced Democrats to act.

“He gave us no choice,” Pelosi, a California Democrat, said, outlining the case to impeach Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. “What we are discussing today is the established fact that the president violated the Constitution. It is matter of fact that the president is an ongoing threat to our national security and the integrity of our elections, the basis of our democracy.”
