While the casting of Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in the highly anticipated Batman-Superman movie scheduled to be released in 2015 was met Friday with mixed reviews, the actor has at least one fan on Capitol Hill.
Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., posted on Twitter that “Ben’s a great pick for Batman and a New Englander to boot.”
Leahy also conceded the casting choice means he likely won’t be heading to Hollywood for a career change anytime soon, tweeting, “I guess that means I’m out of the running.”
