Phoenix airport train more costly than projected

PHOENIX (AP) — A project to build a train that will shuttle passengers through Phoenix’s Sky Harbor Airport and to a light rail station isn’t likely to be finished at its original price of $1.2 billion, according to a newspaper.

But Phoenix Aviation Department officials insisted Monday that the PHX Sky Train project “is on time and within its approved budget.”
