Hillary Clinton testified that she has lost more sleep over the Benghazi attacks than the entire committee investigating the matter.
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., ticked through a list of actions that he said demonstrated the House Select Committee on Benghazi’s partisan leanings Thursday during a highly-anticipated interview of Clinton.
Schiff noted Republicans on the committee, led by Chairman Trey Gowdy, had not released any documents besides emails related to Clinton and that the majority had sent out dozens of press releases that dealt only with Clinton.
Clinton agreed the accusations made by the panel were “personally painful” and fought back at accusations that she was somehow personally responsible for the security failures that led to the deaths of four Americans.
Schiff suggested people who wanted to believe Clinton was at fault would believe so regardless of the facts.
“I’d imagine I’ve thought more about what happened than all of you put together,” Clinton said of the attack. “I’ve lost more sleep than all of you put together.”
