Standardized test scores in three D.C. Public Schools classrooms will be thrown out because an investigation “found evidence or a strong suspicion of a test security violation.”
Meanwhile, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education is investigating 14 reported “irregularities” — including “possible assistance to student” on a math exam — reported during this year’s round of D.C. Comprehensive Assessment System exams.
The review of 2010 test results “confirm[s] our belief in and support for the overwhelming number of students, teachers, and staff that work hard and play by the rules,” State Superintendent Hosanna Mahaley said Wednesday.
The other 15 classrooms from 2010 that the Office of the State Superintendent of Education was investigating have been cleared, Mahaley said.
