Port’s barge traffic expected to grow

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — A new dock is expected to double the capacity to handle barge traffic in the Port of Caddo-Bossier.

The Times reports (http://bit.ly/PyjQiF) the dock — the port’s second — was completed earlier this year. But it will not be operational until the waterway is dredged to make way for barges.
