The Oregon chapter of a pro-abortion rights group is teaming up with an ice cream shop in Portland to “defend reproductive freedom.”
NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon and What’s the Scoop created a “Rocky Roe v. Wade” ice cream flavor and are selling it for $9.50 a pint until Aug. 26.
“Order yours now & help defend reproductive freedom,” a tweet from the organization says.
We’ve partnered with @WhatstheScoopdx by offering ice cream pints for sale for a limited time only, including a new custom flavor made exclusively for NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon: Rocky Roe v. Wade! Other flavors are also available during the fundraiser, such as brown butter almond brittle, a vegan chocolate sorbet and honey vanilla. The additional flavors are also priced at $9.50 per pint.
Former Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement this summer sparked speculation that his replacement could help overturn Roe V. Wade.
Abortion rights activists have argued that Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s pick to succeed Kennedy, would be the deciding vote in overturning Roe if it were to be challenged in front of the Supreme Court.
