Flashback: Trump’s lawyer whose office was raided by the FBI mocked Hillary Clinton about prison

A 2015 tweet from President Trump’s personal lawyer suggesting Hillary Clinton “go to prison” resurfaced on Monday after his office was raided by the FBI.

“@HillaryClinton when you go to prison for defrauding America and perjury, your room and board will be free!” attorney Michael Cohen wrote during a Democratic presidential primary debate in December 2015.

His words made the rounds on Twitter again on Monday after he found himself in his own bit of trouble after law enforcement officials raided Cohen’s New York office for a wide range of documents after special counsel Robert Mueller made a referral to the local district attorney’s office.

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton fell under investigation for her usage of a private email server for government matters while serving as secretary of state. The investigation became a focal point for the 2016 election and a major talking point for Republicans.
