MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say one person is dead following a fight that broke out at a South Beach nightclub.
Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez told several Miami television stations that a man was shot in the upper torso while in the VIP section of Mansion Nightclub early Tuesday.
Hernandez says club-goers tried to help the man until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
No other injuries were reported and police haven’t released the victim’s name.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses to the shooting.
