Sen. David Perdue’s office on Friday blamed some in the media for saying he prayed for President Obama’s death at Friday’s Faith and Freedom convention, when instead he was just joking about wanting Obama out of office.

At the event, Perdue said he believed people are “called to pray,” and to pray for Obama.
