While the eyes of the World is on Egypt, where an increasingly belligerent and menacing “demonstrators” headed by Mohammad El Baradei, whose claim to fame was cowering down to Iran while his tenure of IAEA, and supported by the main opposition group, “Muslim Brotherhood”, the founder of the HAMAS movement in Israel…clashed with the counter revolutionaries who were marked as Pro-Mubarak paid thugs by the International leftist solidarity media, an interesting and highly significant development took place in South Asia.
Apparently, Pakistani army, supported by the Pakistani intelligence, America’s “great friend” ISI…tried to test whether their big guns are not jammed and working fine, by firing towards…waid-a-sec…not India…but Afghanistan! The Afghans, initially couldn’t understand anything, but proved they are not to be messed with by retaliating with even bigger guns, that left one Pakistani soldier dead, and a few injured…
Hah! Insane joke, right? Wait till you listen to the sequel part…
The Pakistani army, after getting a pretty bad bloody nose, and even more bitter, bruised ego, by getting a bashing from a fledgling Afghan forces, fighting alone without NATO or Western help…now pounded the Afghan positions with Artillery fire, and with Jets hovering over the sky…those same weapons, which are for all probability brought from USA…and which they always refused to use against their “brothers” in the North western mountainous provinces, infested by Talibans, more than bacteria in any Devonshire marshland…
Epic hilarity…the Afghan-Pak region never ceases to amaze me…
What was the coalition forces doing? Staying in their barracks, waiting for orders, from their visionless, defeatist politicians and rulers back home…a far cry from the Reagan-Thatcher era.
The NATO supply trucks, while, keep on becoming sitting ducks in Pakistan, with massive loss of taxpayer’s dollars. The ironies of life.
