FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) — A Long Island vitamin manufacturing company has agreed to halt all operations in the wake of a federal investigation involving adulterated vitamins at the facility.
The owners, Michael Ragno Sr. and Michael Ragno Jr., were cited last year by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for producing vitamins tainted with anabolic steroids at their Mira Health Products Ltd. plant in Farmingdale.
