Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon on Tuesday said he has spoken with President Trump every two or three days since leaving his Oval Office job three weeks ago, according to a report Tuesday.
Bannon told a group of people at a private lunch inside the Grand Hyatt hotel restaurant in Hong Kong he talked with Trump for an hour Monday night, the Wall Street Journal reported.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters earlier this week she believed Trump had only spoken with Bannon once since his departure in August.
Bannon returned to Breitbart News after leaving Trump’s side. He is scheduled to speak at University of California, Berkeley’s “Free Speech Week” later this month.
