THE 3-MINUTE INTERVIEW: Paul E. Vallely

Vallely, a retired major general from the U.S. Army, is the founder of Stand Up America, a multimedia research organization that focuses on national defense, national sovereignity, and issues regarding troops overseas. He served as a consultant to the commanding general of the Special Operations Command as well as the Department of Defense Anti-Drug and Counter-Terrorist Task Forces. Why Stand Up America?

We established and founded Stand Up America in 2005 in an effort to get the issues that significantly impact our country out in the media and to the American people. We have a lot of qualified people — retired generals and intelligence experts, both men and women. We’ve recently set up a separate intelligence information center with a number of experts. We primarily focus on national security, political issues, government or lack thereof.

How many people does your organization affect?

We impact 500,000 to 1 million people monthly.

It has been said in some media reports that you’re a possible vice presidential running mate for Donald Trump, is this true? Would you consider it?

First, I was asked if I would run for Senate in Montana and the Constitutional Party asked if I would run under their ticket for president. When I received information from an individual regarding the possibility of running with Trump, it surprised me. However, there has been no contact from Trump yet. It would be an honor to run with him.

What is your greatest concern in regards to the United States and the American people?

My greatest concern is our lack of excellence in leadership, not just in the White House but the Defense Department and State Department as well. Not having a clear vision that is supported by the American majority. Nobody can define the end game because of the lack of leadership, individualism and understanding from our leaders. – Sara A.
