NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say one person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision on a Syracuse-area road.
Police in the village of North Syracuse tell local media that a minivan and a sport utility vehicle collided at an intersection around 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officers say the minivan overturned and landed on its roof, trapping a man and woman inside. The woman died. Police identified her as 82-year-old Geraldine Gardner.
Officials say the man who was driving the van and the man driving the SUV are in stable condition at a Syracuse hospital.
Police say one of the driver’s ran a red light, but they haven’t said yet which man may have been at fault.
