Liberals celebrate Limbaugh’s death, labeling him a ‘coward’ and the ‘bigoted king of talk radio’

Liberal social media users lambasted radio show titan Rush Limbaugh after it was announced that he died following a battle with cancer.

“Rush Limbaugh was a coward and white supremacist. He aggressively and cynically exploited divisions in our country by weaponizing hatred and bigotry for his own personal gain. He was in service to his own greed, prejudice, and hypocrisy, and that is how history will remember him,” activist Charlotte Clymer tweeted.

Limbaugh’s wife, Kathryn, announced her husband’s death at the start of his radio show on Wednesday. He had been fighting lung cancer since last year and was receiving treatment while continuing to host his program.

Others echoed Clymer’s comments on his death, and phrases such as “rest in piss” and “#goodriddance” began trending on Twitter.

The criticism of Limbaugh extended to the media, as well, with HuffPost running the headline “Rush Limbaugh, Bigoted King Of Talk Radio, Dies At 70” and Deadspin reporting that “Rush Limbaugh, dead at 70, spewed racist filth from every pulpit including ESPN’s.”

Conservative social media users defended the radio show host, denouncing liberals for “dancing on his grave.”

Limbaugh was 70 and died in his home in Palm Beach, Florida. He leaves behind a legacy that includes having the first nationally syndicated and highest-rated radio show.
