Half of voters in 10 states that voted for President Trump but have Democratic senators have a positive view of the economy, according to a new poll.
The Axios/SurveyMonkey poll released Friday showed more than half of voters in West Virginia, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, North Dakota, and Wisconsin think the economy is better off now than it was in the early months of Trump’s time in office.
Slightly less than half of voters in Michigan, Florida, and Pennsylvania held the same views.
A majority of voters in nine of these 10 states approve of the GOP’s tax law passed in December. Forty-nine percent of voters in Pennsylvania approve of the tax bill, while 49 percent of voters in the state disapprove of it.
The online poll was conducted Feb. 12 through March 5. It surveyed 17,289 adults total in the 10 states.
